Overview

Responsible for growing the sales and profitability of North American Distribution by developing and implementing strategies to maximize Snap-on’s market share.  Develop and measure strategies to drive equipment sales through all channels. Coordinate sales activities and marketing efforts to improve the company’s position in the undercar Equipment market. 

Responsibilities

Sales Management

  • Develop sales forecasts
  • Achieve sales and profitability goals.
  • Provide direction in areas of sales, promotion planning, asset management, profitability and general business operations
  • Monitor performance of North American Equipment
  • Direct meeting contact with Key Account Customers

Leadership

  • Align team with business direction and goals
  • Influence team members to achieve goals
  • Follow through on commitments.
  • Solve problems; make sound decisions

People Development

  • Develop and measure new programs that drive sales growth in key product categories
  • Develop and measure new programs that drive sales growth in National Account and Distribution businesses
  • Develop self

Training

  • Develop and measure new training initiatives that drive growth in key products categories and geographies

Communications

  • Build solid relationships with Sales Team, Distributors and National Account customers.
  • Deliver presentations on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Profitability and Asset control

  • Build and measure effective compensation plans
  • Build and measure effective asset control methods

 

Bachelor’s degree preferred along with proven direct sales and sales management experience. Preferred candidates will be very knowledgeable in the Equipment business.
