Provide tooling support for cold forming / forging presses.  Tooling support includes but is not limited to: assembly of 3-5 station tool sets, tool trouble shooting, tool inspection, inventory control and tool reporting.  This is a manually demanding position.

• Assemble 3-5 station tool sets for forming centers per production requirements.
• Provide immediate resolution of production stoppages due to tooling through coordinated efforts of tool room and production control.
• Inspect tooling for compliance to prints.
• Handle ordering, returning and modification of tooling by issuing work orders, material requests, change notices, and additional tasks
• Daily audits to maintain a perishable inventory level that is 99% accurate to actual. Annual inventory counts.
• Prepare reports, such as production summaries, tool consumption, new product, etc., and maintain files.
• Assist engineering, drafting and forming departments to ensure production.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or a minimum of two (2) years manufacturing machine shop experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Computer literacy
• Ability to: lift and carry weight up to 75 lbs, and push and pull weight up to 1,000 lbs.

PREFER:

• Two (2) years of technical schooling, (Example: machine tools operation, tool & die making, materials technology (metals), etc.)
• Trigonometry skills.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in the use of highly accurate measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of geometric tolerancing.
