Design, build, maintain and repair dies, fixtures and templates according to die specifications
This position is for 2nd Shift - hours are 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
Operate all tool room machinery (mills, drills, grinders and lathe)
Design and build tooling to produce sheet metal parts from piece part prints
Design and build fixtures for welding and other plant areas
Stick, tig, and gas weld die blocks and fixtures
Locate and use all necessary measuring equipment and spare parts
Operate all piece part, from dies, and transfer equipment in the Ball slide operation
Measure and validate parts made from tools and fixtures made in tool room
Qualifications
Minimum requirements are a two-year Tool & Die Certificate/Degree from an accredited vocational technical college such as NIACC, ICCC, Hawkeye Institute etc.
At least six months of work experience in Tool & Die
