The manager will oversee employees and operations at the San Jose Calibration and Service Laboratory, actively participating in calibration and service tasks to support ambitious revenue growth goals. This high-visibility role sets strategic direction with Operations and Core Management, while also enhancing methods, equipment, and the scope of services under ISO 17025 accreditation.

Critical functions of the role:
Additional responsibilities include enhancing employee engagement, identifying improvement opportunities and efficiency of operations while supporting employees in achieving individual and company goals.
Collaborates with two other Service and Calibration Laboratory locations and management to standardize and improve processes, methods, and equipment, ensuring consistent calibration and service delivery.
Works with the quality team to manage the QMS to document and standardize practices across service centers, implementing best practices. Ensures calibration and service performance meet customer, organizational, and international standards.
Monitors performance metrics and defines actions for continuous improvement. Oversees budget, resources, inventory, and capital equipment needs. Facilitates communication among stakeholders, support staff, and vendors regarding service and warranty issues.
Ensures planned changes to the Service Department are managed and implemented as needed.
Participates in New Product Review meetings with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering, and assists in managing service agreements. Conducts regular service review meetings and coordinates technical activities supporting ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditation.
Contributes to the development and execution of the Operations strategy.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years related management experience. Entrepreneurial mindset that helps develop and execute a growth strategy in support of Operations and Corporate goals. Knowledge of laboratory operations by ISO 17025 is a must. Advanced knowledge of ERP, NetSuite preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - lead auditor for ISO9001 and ISO17025 a plus.
