Overview

We are looking to add a Training Specialist - Service to our team. Our Training Specialist will participate in the day-to-day operations of Snap-on Equipment training delivery and development with a focus on Snap-on undercar equipment, diagnostics, and repair training. This role will act as the performance consultant, assess training needs, and ensure appropriate allocation of company and third-party resources. They will also ensure the effectiveness of all training materials during the development phase and collaborate with Division Training Staff and Division Management to provide customer-focused training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Snap-on Equipment products.
  • Analyze information and make training recommendations on new materials, methods, techniques, new products/technology.
  • Provide input into the analysis, design, and development of course materials for training programs that support service, end-user and sales operations.
  • Acts as talent for video and photography of repair procedures and processes.
  • May coordinate, schedule and track instructor-led class arrangements, in-shop sessions, and training equipment/facilities at both company and customer sites.
  • Assist as needed with trade show/expo set-up, demonstrations and tear-down.
  • Interface with regional, national and international accounts and customer representatives to determine training requirements and to establish and maintain customer confidence and satisfaction.
  • Provide feedback regarding customer issues or concerns with Snap-on and subsidiary products, documentation, or training requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (A.S.) or certificate in vocational education preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a service repair technician.
  • 2+ years’ experience delivering instructor-led training preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience developing hands-on and online training programs preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Work well independently, cross functionally and in teams; thrive in fast-paced & changing environment.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Some overnight travel is required (less than 25%)
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate various time zones/locations or shifts is required.
