Customer Service Representative

Overview

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to answer incoming customer service calls and emails, process customer orders, and provide technical customer support to outside representatives, distributors and end users on-site at Sturtevant Richmont in Carol Stream, Illinois.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, expediting, quotes, complaints, shortages, and overages.
Match customer requirements with standard products and services.
Prepare quotes for standard products, as required.
Process orders into computer system.
Prepare repair quotes and perform follow-up on repair orders.
Issue debits and credits.
Process returned goods.
Interface with other employees to obtain information needed to respond to customer inquiries.
Coordinate export shipments with freight companies as directed by distributor, ensuring all export documentation is accurate.
May occasionally lift, push, pull or carry up to 25 lbs
All other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2-3 years of customer service experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Must be able to operate office equipment, such as a copier.
Pleasant telephone manner and ability to effectively communicate with customer.
Strong ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
Customer service experience within a manufacturing company is preferred.


The pay range is $22.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
