Overview

Norbar Torque Tools, a member of the Snap-on Incorporated family of companies, is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer. The hourly pay rate is $30 to $32 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs typical machine shop operations to support engineering.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, bench operations and inspection.
• Maintain CAM system and perform daily programming on parts.
• Must be able to proficiently program, operate and troubleshoot a CNC machining center.
• Must be able to inspect parts against the supplied prints.
• Must be able to set up run operations on a CNC machine with or without supervision.
• Maintain and organize inventory of tooling.
• Consult with engineering on design with respect to manufacturing processes.
• Transport parts and work with outside vendors on secondary and finishing operations.
Must be able to follow directions and assist with assembly of products.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work history
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to operate the company vehicle.
  • Must have prior knowledge operating and programming CNC machines.
