SALARY RANGE

Salaried Exempt position. Pay Range $100k - $130k.  Salary offer will depend on skills and experience.  

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include supporting daily quality activities, ensuring all tools and equipment meet Snap-on and customer requirements, and participating in both internal and external audits. The Quality Engineer will also serve as the primary liaison with customers, as needed, to support corrective action efforts—this includes direct communication to identify concerns, verify conditions, and determine final resolutions. Additionally, the role includes sign-off responsibilities for new and revised product launches and tool qualification processes.

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

To perform this job successfully, the applicable candidate must be a team player and able to make decisions under pressure with a cross functional team of individuals.  The additional requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Four-year Engineering, Technical or business degree with two years’ experience of technical training in manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience; certification from ASQ, CQE or CQT is desirable.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Working knowledge of SPC, statistical software, blueprint reading and metrology.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment
  • Strong leadership, communication and observation skills, Positive attitude, Detail oriented
  • Strong experience with practical applications of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies (i.e. Six Sigma, SMED) and techniques (5S)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and adjust schedule in a fast-paced work environment and make timely decisions in a production environment. 
  • Working knowledge of SAP, and Microsoft Office.
