Overview

The global leader in automotive Diagnostic equipment, Snap-on Diagnostics has an immediate opening for a National Training Manager. The successful candidate will perform assignments supporting the development and success of associates, franchisees, and Diagnostic customers creating sustainable training strategies to drive sales of Diagnostic’s products and software.

Responsibilities

  • Determines appropriate developmental support strategies for DSD’s by observing sales encounters, studying sales results reports and conferring with Regional Sales Managers
  • Improves effectiveness of sales support resources by continuously researching, developing and implementing innovative approaches and new techniques
  • Develop sales and product training materials, including presentations, and digital content
  • Capable of delivering sales support via multiple communication platforms including but not limited to live in-person and web-based platforms
  • Conducts continuous sales development needs analysis to identify and create appropriate training programs and materials to meet sales support needs
  • Provides market insights by conducting research into competitor offerings and providing that feedback to the wider management team
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in sales training and the diagnostic market via:
  • Periodic participation in ride-alongs in sales territories with DSD’s and franchisees
  • Attending industry trade shows and association meetings
  • Industry related websites/socials and periodicals
  • Consultation with product managers and other Subject Matter Experts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent background and experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years automotive industry experience
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
