Overview

This is a critical role in the success of our software quality improvement and warranty reduction initiatives. Responsible for ensuring effective Quality Assurance is applied for key new products.  Responsible for ensuring all SQA activities on assigned projects are complete and on time.  Reports test project status regularly.  Provides data supporting the recommendation (or otherwise) for product release from SQA.

Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

·         Assist with the production of test plans, schedules and test scenarios

·         Facilitate bug triages, CCT, and release meetings

·         Drive Rapid Continuous Improvement within the department

·         Collaborate with global development partners to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies

·         Enhance product reliability and performance

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test plans to validate web-based applications and APIs

·         Build and maintain automated test cases in C# using the Selenium framework

·         Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to define testable requirements, acceptance criteria, and ensure early detection of defects

·         Author and manage test cases, test runs, and defect tracking using modern test management systems

·         Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines, integrating quality checks throughout the SDLC

·         Advocate for quality best practices, engineering standards, and process improvements across the team

·         Adherence to established company processes and policies

·         Avoid accidents by recognizing potentially unsafe situations and responds appropriately when accidents occur

·         Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience

Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated approaches

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in C# or another object-oriented programming language
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Experience working as part of an Agile/Scrum team with a collaborative and results-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • In-depth understanding of Quality Assurance best practices and industry standards
  • Attention to detail, strong trouble-shooting skills, excellent multi-tasking

Recent automotive diagnostic experience using scan tools and/or automotive diagnostics tools
