Overview

Supports day-to-day Human Resources processes, programs, and initiatives including but limited to recruiting support, new hire orientation, payroll, and benefit administration. Helps coordinate corporate human resource responsibilities such as affirmative action, data entry, compliance, reporting, record retention and other related work. 

Responsibilities

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all plant personnel; assists in development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the corporate payroll department to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage programs such as employee benefits, service recognition & retirement gifts, work verification & unemployment compensation, screening and drug testing vendors, ADP (background check), temp. agencies, and others as need arises.
  • Understand and build appropriate communications and processes for employee programs such as annual benefit enrollment information; flu shot program; stock purchases, etc.
  • Maintain and update attendance records and attendance disciplinary actions.
  • Create and distribute reports for employee headcount, attendance, safety incidents, department inspections, environmental permitting, and other reports as needed.
  • Manage the building security badge access system.
  • Performs other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Qualifications

  • No final warnings in current job
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other internal and external software applications and tools.
  • Ability to create, maintain, track, and communicate reports across the HR, Safety, Environmental, and Security departments.
  • Strong oral, written, and solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills needed.
  • Must operate with complete integrity and be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Ability to work off – shifts and/or weekends if required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
