Monday - Friday 5 AM - 1:30 PM (Some Saturday and two (2) hours of possible daily overtime)

Pay Range $20.25 - $20.50

POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for performing precision soldering of wires and components to circuit boards. You will follow detailed engineering drawings, travelers, and manufacturing procedures to ensure high-quality assemblies that meet strict industry standards.  May serve as back up to assembly.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following.   • Perform microscopic soldering of wires, leads, and electronic components onto boards and assemblies.
  • Assemble, inspect, and rework boards and subassemblies per drawings and specifications.
  • Operate standard electronics assembly equipment, including soldering irons, and when needed microscopes.
  • Conduct rework of defective or improperly functioning assemblies as needed.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assembly of some or all product lines using both manual and mechanical means in a timely manner to meet production requirements.

To perform this job successfully, the applicable candidate must be a team player.

  •  High school diploma, GED, or at least one year of equivalent manufacturing experience required.
  • Minimum of six months of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and soldering required.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and visual acuity.
  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience required; electrical assembly experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, and speak effectively.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate feedback clearly.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor coworkers, new hires, and temporary employees.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and meeting deadlines.
