  • Responsibilities

    • Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
    • Develop and maintain quality processes and procedures including first article inspection (PPAP), deviations, corrective actions, quarantined material disposition, and others.
    • Create product inspection plans for existing and new products.
    • Maintain product and process integrity with documentation to meet Snap-on, customer, and ISO requirements. 
    • Develop, document, and maintain quality assurance standards.
    • Develop, document, and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
    • ISO expert in the business.  Maintain ISO qualification.
    • Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
    • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, capability studies, and corrective actions.
    • Create periodic reports for management explaining internal quality levels and customer warranty claim levels.
    • Provide technical, statistical expertise, and root cause analysis to for the business.
    • Maintain supplier quality data and resolve issues with supply base.
    • Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure technical integrity.
    • Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. degree in Engineering or a related field
    • Quality management certifications
    • 7+  years of relevant experience
    • 3+ years in a quality leadership role
    • Previous manufacturing experience is desired
    • Previous experience developing and implementing quality processes
    • Teamwork and team building skills
    • Lean Manufacturing experience and competencies
    • Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Access Database
    • Problem analysis and resolution skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Must be able to read blue prints
    • Must be able to read GD&T
    • Mechanical Inspection Background
