  • Overview

    This position is accountable for the timely and accurate supervision and execution of materials requirements planning (MRP) in order to support parts requirements, while minimizing cost and inventory levels.  This position is also responsible for all sourcing activity.


    • Attend PMT Meetings in order to support all new products and changes to current service parts.
    • Timely management of paperwork flow as well as support needed by other departments.
    • Sourcing of all parts and communication of the status of these parts to the Buyer/Planners.
    • Responsible for contract negotiations.
    • Supervise PCN process for smooth transition of required documentation.
    • Ensure timely return to and from the suppliers on depot return for repair program.
    • Supervise the accurate and timely execution of MRP, which includes placement of purchase orders, rescheduling purchase orders, and expediting deliveries.
    • Supervise the accurate and timely order confirmation and other necessary follow up carried out in order ensure fulfillment of parts requirements.
    • Ensure that files are properly maintained, parts are properly and smoothly received in, and suppliers are promptly paid.
    • Respond to the changing needs of the business to meet department objectives and goals.
    • Follow company policies and procedures.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 3 years purchasing/planning experience.
    • 3 years supervisory experience.
    • APIC or PMA training and or certification capable.
    • Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.  Must be multi-task oriented.
    • Excellent attendance, team player and leadership ability.
    • Able to work hours of overtime as required by demands of the job.
    • Able to work in high-stress, fast-paced environment.
    • Material requirements planning knowledge and/or experience is a plus.
    • JBC/Sun product knowledge and knowledge of Manman systems is a plus.
    • College degree is a plus.

    Master production schedule experience.
