  • Overview

    The selected person will be responsible for all dishware and cleanliness of the back of the house in the cafe, as well as assisting in daily operations of the cafe, including food prep work. 

    Responsibilities

    • Scrapes, rinses and washes all dishware used in the cafe. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
    • Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures. 
    • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. 
    • Cleans worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
    • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Helps load and unload supplies and product. 
    • Assist cooks in daily food preparation. Ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards to ensure guest safety.
    • Other duties as assigned. 

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate
    • Previous kitchen experience
    • Ability to manage safe use of chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing
    • Customer Service experience is a plus
    • Capable of lifting 40 pounds, bending, twisting and standing for long periods of time
    • Ability to obtain Serve Safe Certification 

    Hours are roughly 8:30am - 4:30pm M-F with some occasional overtime.
