  • Overview

    Prepare layouts, drawings, or sketches utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software for the creation, maintenance and coordination for BAB designs and quotes. Maintain product manual and configurator with the latest product information and specifications for the sales team. Review sales team quotes before presentation to customers. Identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, or efficiency of the BAB Product Line and processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Keep current with product information from BAB Product Manager, Snap-on Tool Storage Product Managers, and Snap-on Tool Storage Engineers.
    • Maintain full knowledge of BAB Product Line and processes.
    • Prepare layouts, drawings, or sketches utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software for the creation, maintenance and coordination for BAB designs and quotes that conform to customer specifications, or changes in design.
    • Participate in all BAB team meetings and project hand-off meetings to ensure order/quote accuracy.
    • Work with the Snap-on Manufacturing Plant and 3rd party BAB suppliers for obtaining quotes special pricing.
    • Maintain product manual, and configurator for the BAB sales team.
    • Must be a team member that consults on best practices to help in the design of the Bay.       Includes reading blueprints and conducting feasibility analyses given scope and dimensions. Offer recommendations to customers and field team for better designs.
    • Support global sales team by attending client meetings to provide product and design support of cross divisional sales.
    • Provides advice and recommendation to other team members utilizing breadth and depth of experience.
    • Collaborate with Snap-on Tool Storage Engineers as well as 3rd party suppliers to identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, and efficiency of existing products.
    • Provide assistance to BAB Product Manager developing new products with new and existing vendors to improve quality and cost of product offering in order to insure a competitive edge in the marketplace.
    • Maintain new, discontinued, and superseded part number and Business Partners in LN.
    • Review all CAD drawings that are prepared by the field RMs or by the outside contractors.
    • Create CAD drawings and quotes for all International BAB projects.
    • Maintain revisions of all quotes using standard naming and tracking methodology.
    • Keep accurate records of all quotes with revisions for all projects.
    • Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley controls with all transactions, documentation and processes.
    • Provide back-up support for the BAB program specialist for order tracking. 
    • Participate in the Snap-on Value Added Creation Process through RCI to improve customer connection and experience.

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent work experience.
    • Technical Certifications or Business Studies.
    • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
    • Proficiency working with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
    • AutoCAD experience required.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with internal/external customers as required.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and keep all organized with proper revisions.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication required.
    • Excellent organizational skills required.
    • Undergraduate degree is required or equivalent work experience.
    • LN experience is preferred but not required.
    • Work hours: 8 AM to 5 PM three days per week; 10 AM to 7 PM two days per week.
    • Some travel may be required
