    The National Sales  Manager is responsible for growing the sales and profitability of the direct sales channel by developing and implementing strategies to maximize Snap-on’s market share. Direct and guide the U.S. Sales and Service Managers by holding that group accountable for performance and by providing coaching and counseling to achieve goals. Coordinate activities across Snap-on to improve the Company’s position in the Equipment market.

     

    Responsibilities

    Sales Management

    • Lead and direct sales and asset management of the Sales and Service Management team in order to maximize sales and profitability.
    • Develop sales forecasts
    • Achieve sales and profitability goals.
    • Provide direction in areas of sales, collections, marketing planning, asset management, profitability and general business operations
    • Conduct sales meetings.
    • Monitor performance of U.S. direct sales force

    Leadership

    • Align team with business direction and goals
    • Influence team members to achieve goals
    • Follow through on commitments.
    • Solve problems; make sound decisions

    People Management

    • Ensure field managers are taking appropriate measures for short and long-term success including: selling the right product mix, adding feet on the street, etc.
    • Provide continuous feedback and coaching to develop team members and improve performance.
    • Develop self

    Training

    • Train new and existing sales managers on sales techniques, product, credit programs, computer system operations, cash flow, warranties and replacements, asset management, etc.

    Communications

    • Build solid relationships with Sales and Service Managers, dealers and customers.
    • Deliver presentations on a regular basis.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree along with proven direct sales and sales management experience. Candidates must have proven sales management experience in the automotive service and repair equipment business.
