    The Education Partnerships Manager will establish, manage and support strategic plans that promote sales growth opportunities for the industrial sales teams within the Snap-on certification initiative across technical industry sectors. An understanding of technical education and Snap-on product offerings is required to successfully initiate and implement the Snap-on certification program. This Segment Sales Support Manager/Education Partnerships Manager position will interface with both Snap-on team members and customers on a daily basis.


    • This position represents Snap-on Industrial with certification development and maintenance, and implementation.This position will also provide guidance on customer’s designs of new or remodeled facilities to incorporate Snap-on product in lab/shop layouts. This position interfaces with industrial field sales teams, as well as, other internal and external cross functional groups and across all levels within the customer and Snap-on organization as required.
    • Drive sales strategies, including certification programs using professional and effective communication skills to create and deliver presentations as well as create effective supporting materials.
    • Implement developed field sales strategy to support project selling and identify new innovative industrial opportunities and upcoming trends; develop relationships and network within the industry and represents Snap-on within   trade organizations and other external industry associations, as assigned.
    • Facilitate building layout and designs with sales teams and customers from start to finish using strong project management skills and ability to offer solutions for product sourcing.
    • Develops and implements project plans, support agreed upon strategies for the field sales team to support certification programs and the needs of the institution, and also responsible for ongoing success of the certification initiative; coordinating and providing oversight and advisement of projects to the sales field.
    • Create presentations, supporting and training materials appropriate for audience or market; effectively deliver materials or assist field sales in delivery of information to key customers and stakeholders.





    •    Minimum of 3-5 years in technical education; plus Bachelors (BA/BS) degree in technical education field preferred. General business acumen preferred
    • Prior experience working with building facilitation (charrettes, print development and layout) in related sales segment is preferred.
    • Prior experience leading and managing large projects; strategic and tactical planning, organizing and ability to successfully execute plans are preferred.
    • Must be able to work within an organization at all levels including high level education administration, build relationships that foster teamwork and network appropriately to build consensus and drive strategy within and outside the organization.
    • Strong effective communication skills (oral, written, formal and informal presentation & facilitation skills) are required. Must have the ability to effectively modify communication style along with supporting presentation and materials as needed to meet target audience, which may be internal or external to Snap-on and at all levels within an organization.
    • Experience in business development, knowledge of industrial tool market & prior experience in developing market penetration strategies plus the ability to identify trends and sales opportunities in various markets as well as, knowledge of Snap-on products and services are preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, and Internet mining and application skills are required.
    • Capable of leading various size groups to reach consensus and influence timely constructive decisions. Ability to build cross functional teams using problem solving, negotiations and conflict resolution to reach viable customer oriented solutions.
    • Must be self-motivated, ability to adapt quickly and have strong ethics, integrity in all dealings.
    • Domestic (60%+) travel (including overnight) required; may require some international travel.

    The ideal candidate will reside in: Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, Sacramento or Dallas.
