    Position Summary:

    Snap-on’s Advanced Applications department’s goal is to proactively meet customers’ needs through innovative tool design. This position will provide design and analytical support to Engineers on various product design projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and coordinate basic product development projects.
    • Participate in problem solving, development, and design of new product ideas.
    • Collect and analyze test data and summarize results.
    • Position is 40 hours per week through the summer.
    • Some travel to various U.S. manufacturing facilities is required, total travel time for summer is estimated to be one week, potentially more.

    Qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program from an accredited university pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. One year of experience in Engineering coursework is required.
    • Familiarity or experience using, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or MATLAB software is preferred.
    • Knowledge of automotive repair and familiarity with hand tools is preferred.
    • Individual must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Ideal candidate would exhibit technical and intellectual curiosity and while demonstrating strong attention to detail.
