  • Overview

    Manage and direct daily operations of manufacturing and ensure the plant runs safely and efficiently. 

    Responsibilities

    • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards 
    • Responsible for production output, product quality, inventory management and on-time shipping
    • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
    • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
    • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste overtime
    • Commit to plant safety procedures
    • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
    • Stay up to date with the latest production management best practices and concepts
    • Remain in compliance with facility ISO standards and all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) guidelines
    • Prepare, analyze and issue production performance reports
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program
    • Monitor production equipment to make sure it stays in good working order and repair or replace equipment when needed 
    • Other duties as assigned 

    Physical and Visual Activities 

    May be included but not limited to; standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing. 

     

    Physical Demands

    May occasionally lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs. 

     

     

    Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions

    Inside conditions including noise and vibrations 

    Qualifications

    Knowledge

    Be knowledgeable in safety, quality productivity, demand creation and inventory. Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills. 

     

    Education and Experience

    • BS degree in Business Management or related field or commensurate experience
    • Previous managerial experience - 5+ years minimum
    • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources

    Machines, Tools, Equipment, Software

    Personal computer and other standard office equipment. Microsoft Office, Windows, and Excel spreadsheets
