  • Overview

    Primary interface between end users and product specialists to troubleshoot and assist with installation(s) of Automated Tool Chest products for various customer requirements/locations. Works with Tool Control Engineering Staff with assigned technical and logistical assignments. Provides ATC and IT/Network related support to product specialists, field personnel and customer IT Technical Staff. Main focus on ATC support domestically as well as some international locations. 

    Responsibilities

    • Provide ATC system and network related technical support for internal and external customers.
    • Prepare components and/or complete systems for internal and field tests, certification, and demonstrations
    • Conduct new feature and system tests as assigned and document results
    • Assist Engineering staff in demo and prototype unit builds
    • Utilize Technical Writing skills to produce a variety of new product related technical documentation, including operation and service manuals, parts list and Technical Service bulletins
    • Assist Engineering staff in conducting local product training sessions for a variety of internal and external system user and support groups
    • Occasionally provide on-site set up, product demonstration, and training at customer sites and trade shows and Snap-on facilities in North America and Asia.
    • Generates product service reports accurately and within required time frames.
    • Performs other work as assigned.

    Qualifications

      • Minimum 2 Year Associates degree in Computer Science, Network Administration, Network Engineering or related field with 3 years of experience in IT Systems management or support.
      • Working knowledge of Win 10 / Win 7 OS Installation and Management
    • Proficient with Microsoft Windows Network setup and Windows domain servers processes and setup

     

      • Up to date knowledge of Network systems security requirements and firewalls
      • Experience with SQL install is a plus
      • Up to date knowledge in VLAN, VPN, SSH and other networking setups, as well as DHCP servers and TCP/IP UDP connections
      • Experience in set up and use of Windows services
      • Proficiency in use of Window Office applications
      • Technical writing experience
      • Able to work with others as well as remotely and with minimal supervision.
      • Must possess excellent communication skills and have experience interfacing with all levels internally and externally including customer base.
      • Must possess good time management and organizational skills as well as problem solving and analytical skills.
    • 20-30% (overnight domestic and international) travel as required to provide training to sales, install and service teams as well as support at some customer sites.

     

    Must be able to obtain/maintain credentials as required.
