  • Overview

    Responsible for accounting, reporting and analysis functions to support the Industrial finance group. Ensures timely and accurate closing of financial records on a recurring basis; ensures integrity of financial data through diligent research, analysis and investigation; provides to management meaningful financial analysis that can be used to better understand trends and guide business decisions. Understands and follows SOX requirements and other policies and financial principles, while supporting internal customer demands.


    • Perform general accounting functions including, but not limited to, account reconciliations, journal entries and financial analysis, including support during period-end close cycles and quarterly accounting reviews.
    • Maintain strong internal control environment and adherance to policies and procedures; complete ongoing testing of internal controls. 
    • Assist and support internal and external audit functions throughout interim, period-end and internal control reviews. 
    • Understand key business processes, technologies and strategies; cross-train on various finance functions. 
    • Coordinate, prepare, analyze and distribute assigned reports and schedules; create new reporting to support ongoing business needs or changes. 
    • Work with the department to drive improvement and cost-saving initiatives utilizing RCI theories and processes. 
    • Provide financial analysis and support for various levels of Industrial management. 
    • Special projects and other work as assigned.


    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; 3+ years of directly related experience preferred. 
    • Thorough understanding of accounting processes and procedures, US GAAP and internal controls. 
    • Aptitude to understand and improve upon business processes and to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel throughout the company. 
    • Ability to handle numerous tasks and projects simultaneously, with accuracy and with the initiative and time management skills to drive through to completion. 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; must have high degree of proficiency in Excel and experience with Hyperion (or other financial software) and SSA Ln (or other ERP application). 
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
    • Personal integrity, honesty and ethics are required.
