  • Overview

    Support, coordinate and execute key product management operational processes.  Ensure that processes are effectively managed and opportunities for improvement are implemented and shared across team.   Work directly with internal and external suppliers to complete all assigned projects.  Provide ongoing financial and business case analysis to support team decisions.  

    Responsibilities

    • Develops product menus for worldwide promotions- working with product management taking into account manufacturing capacity, margin targets, product mix and local market conditions/seasonality.
    • Plan, develop & manage product execution for monthly cycle marketing materials, i.e Hot Tools, Monthly Program Flyers, RAD creation.
    • Plan, develop & manage product execution for SFC including product ordering, inventory control, order book control
    • Maintains product plans in promotion data base to be sure products are loaded, pricing is set and part numbers are set up. Conducts reviews with manufacturing to insure delivery as per plan.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Interpersonal skills to work with various levels of management, both internal and external to Snap-on (national sales manager, regional managers, product directors and managers, etc.).
    • Develops product plan views / reports for internal and field use to include SKU detail, pricing, T/As, by week, month and quarter.
    • Excellent communications skills – written and verbal.
    • New Product Innovation – participate in as a member of the new product team to ensure continuity of ideas from concept to profitable product offerings.
    • Competitive Assessment – obtains and analyzes competitor positions, product offerings, markets and performance.
    • Understanding of franchisee/customer relationship and sales process.
    • Position Analysis – analyzes and evaluates product position, channels, launch, timing and other factors

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in a broad range of functions including marketing, supply chain, finance, purchasing (domestic and global) and sales.
    • Proven project management skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Organizational abilities for administration, tracking and scheduling or projects and programs
    • Relationship Building – establishes rapport easily and develops and maintains a network of contacts
    • Analytical Thinking – converts data into useful information to take action with.  Breaks down complex problems or tasks to generate detailed plans.
