Set-up and operate one or more computer numeric controlled machine, as well as, auxiliary secondary conventional machines to perform multiple machining and cutting operations. Works from blueprints, process plans and tool layout diagrams. Load work, control programs and make trial runs. Set and position cutting tools into holders to given distances, by manual data input utilizing automatic control center or manual measuring devices and correcting and repositioning as required. Report malfunctions of automatic control center and equipment or program deviations. Perform daily maintenance operations on machines as planned. Inspect parts with gauges or measuring inspection tools. This position is a Union position---hourly rate range is $21.29 - $22.65.
Must have excellent mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment, such as precision grinders, machine tools, lathes used for cutting, grinding and milling. In addition, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills along with good analytical skills.
